I had no idea what to expect from this, I bought it off a name only recommendation and I’m glad I did. This game is very intriguing, mixing elements from survival horror, stealth, Metroid style exploration, wrapped up in one of the coolest PS1 era art styles I’ve seen. There is a level of immersion and cohesiveness from the minute you boot the game. Primarily played from a top down “isometric” perspective, but switching to a first person point and click style that feels like it would be right at home with a late era LucasArts game. Can’t praise this game enough, its absolutely worth owning.

For those who are on the hunt for a retro survival horror experience, this game delivers on everything fans loved about that era. Gameplay, story, atmosphere, puzzles, and music brings back memories of classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It has multiple adjustments and settings to make the game tailored to the way you want to play it like for example choosing classic tank controls over free range movement.
Highly recommend checking this one out, plus physical copies of the game come with a special 3D lenticular photo! But it may be limited, so act fast if interested!

I’m excited for this game but Best Buy’s shipping dissapoints me yet again they always lose/delay my orders and this game is one of them i always have to wait a month before I get my order or they straight up lose it. That aside this game is amazing

Incredible throwback to OG survival horror. If you grew up on the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, or if you went back as a modern gamer and found love for them recently you will also love this. Takes the greatness of those games and slaps a cyberpunk, Bladerunner aesthetic on it.. can’t go wrong.

5/5 game that perfectly captures the old school resident evil survival-horror gameplay with an abstract story/narrative and modernized controls/camera. The art style is 2.5D so it looks like a very pretty PS1 style game. Also, the puzzles are much better than most RE games.

Great game. Unfortunately mine came with the case smashed and warped in the shape of a c. The distribution center in KY needs to retrain proper shipping methods. Mine was sent in a letter envelope with no bubble protection at all. Basically incorrect shipping method and now I’m stuck with a damaged game because it’s sold out.

Fantastic game that captures that old school survival horror feeling. The story is appropriately dark and disturbing with sprinkles of hope here and there. The puzzles are challenging but not so much that they frustrate.
My only real issue is the combat. Once it becomes clear you can run past most enemies, the game loses a little bit of that fear factor.
But overall you would be hard pressed to find an experience quite like this. A little Resident Evil, a little Silent Hill, a lot of fun.

Honestly, one of the scariest and most interesting games I’ve played on the Switch. Darkwood is a close second. IF you are familiar with RE or Silent Hill gameplay, this will fit like a glove. It has a fascinating story and great gameplay even it is a bit dated.
