The sound when playing Dolby Atos or DTS content is impressive. The subwoofer has plenty of bass and the wireless rear surround module eliminates having to run wires across the room. Note: the rear surround speakers connect to the module with wires but the module connection to the soundbar is wireless.
The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that speaker level control is very limited. You do however get control for center, front top, rear, and subwoofer. There are also several different sound modes.

Long time Best Buy Customer and Total Tech member from the start. Open Box Deal with BBY guarantee. Didn’t work: $800 sound system blasted out sound suddenly without warning. Total Tech “repair” took weeks but the repair location is only about 40-50 miles away. Called Total Tech telephone rep, who says repair is completed and sound system is ready for pick up at store, but it was not ready (wasted trip). Second trip: Very upset; Best Buy dented up the soundbar during “repair” (I took pictures) Best Buy rep admitted it was Best Buy’s fault (because Best Buy noted excellent physical condition at intake). Looked even closer at subwoofer scratches and tears at corners of front cloth screen panel (it’s like Best Buy just tossed the sound system around during transport and/or repair). Best Buy rep empathizes and apologizes; says he will ask manager to replace (manager apparently denies). So, new “expedited” Total Tech repair. That was about two weeks ago. I just got a message the sound system just arrived at repair center. Expedited? It took 2 weeks to go 40-50 miles?

This soundbar might be a 4 star soundbar sytem, until you hook it up to a newer Samsung TV. Then you can activate Q-Symphony and it becomes a 5 star system. The Atmos bubble is a new way to experience movies. Vertical sound is shockingly cool. It sounds like the voices are coming from directly where the actors mouths are on the screen! Sound effects come from below or above (on the sides they also come from lower or higher).
The system is loud. It’s actually kind of hard to not have it loud when not in night mode. I was able to reign it in for my apartment, but I wish there were more volume levels on the low side. The surround speakers are easy to set up and have a full sound for how small they are. The subwoofer has surprising low end, especially if you turn on Bass Boost.
To get full control, you have to use the SmartThings app. And, you have to turn Intelligent Mode on via the TV to get Adaptive + mode going. This mode is my go to for Atmos.

Great soundbar. I had a very difficult time with samsung support. The origional bar had issues. It was replacsd and no more issues. Once replaced the sound is the second best surround sound set up in the house.

I heard this first on display in the store and was impressed with the clarity it gave. I am a gamer and also am a fan of having a home theatre. This combo did both. I was really impressed with the surround sound and Dolby atmos which I did not even know existed before getting this. I am giving this a 4 star instead of a 5 for two reason. One, I wasn’t a fan of the fact that the rear speakers are not wireless and two, it doesn’t get quite as mound as I’d like, but make no mistake, it is still very loud. I just have quite a big basement and if it was just a little smaller, the system would be perfect. Also, watching Saving a private Ryan in 4K with Dolby atmos will have you dodging the bullet sounds, whizzing by.

Bought this as open box “Good” condition. Did not expect it to have a dent exposing some metal which I touched up with a marker and it came with a lot of scratches on the subwoofer. The best thing is it was complete and fully functional. The sound quality is excellent. Product is good but the open box expectation for me is 4 stars

Had installer put in sound bar/ speakers. Woofer has a very vibration. Called to see if I could replace woofer was told I would have to bring everything back to store just to replace woofer.
Very unsatisfied with this response. I purchased the protection plan but was unable to get someone on phone. Called back and was told that it would take ska while before someone could come out to diagnose.
