Excellent image and sound . I did not have the opportunity to test it completely but I was very happy since it recognized my old Samsung Blu-ray! Not only the 8k UHD have a GREAT quality picture, but also it upgraded the quality of a movie in my old Samsung Blu-Ray!

This tv is great. First, I bought a prior model, got home, set it up, and there was a dark spot in the screen. The best buy manager took care of me, and let us get another model at a discounted price. Yes, it cost more, but there was zero hassle.

First TV was damaged. Replacement TV was missing the screen protector, meaning it was previously opened. TV Black colors are extremely black, and any scenes with a dark background are way too dark. I had to go through several settings on the picture settings to finally get it adjusted. You must use the Shadow detail setting, and set it up to 5 (Highest setting) to brighten up the dark content. Contrast , and local dimming at highest setting. Gamma setting BT.1886 has to be at least on 2 with 3 the highest setting to brighten up dark scenes. . Adaptive picture has to also be on, and Color set at 23 or above.. All on Picture settings. Or else you’ll have elements way to dark. Picture is exceptional when going to You Tube 8K content videos. Motion flow does have some stuttering in fast moving sports, but not enough to irritate one. Could be better for this high end model. Colors are vivid and intense. I’m keeping this TV, but there’s not much of a difference then my Samsung 2016 800 series 4K TV that has Quantum Dot then just being slightly clearer. This TV is thin , and the frame flexes. Sound quality is decent, but not outstanding, and must be put on amplify setting to gain richness. With heavy bass sound content there’s some annoying vibration. You need 2 people to mount it. Frankly unless getting your feeds from an actual 8K content, it’s not worth it.

TV is Great, Jalen, the guy who sold me the TV was awesome and was very informative and helpful. Especially with the credit card process. The pick up guy was not helpful at all, seemed like he had an attitude and didn’t want to be there. Didn’t help me hardly with putting the 65 inch tv in my truck. So with the pick guy, I give this a four star. Not the Tv or Jalen. They are 5 stars.

Incredible picture for a great price. Unfortunately, you will probably not be able to purchase it because I think I bought the last one in existence. The speakers are located on the back of the TV so you will want a sound bar to go with this TV. The One Connect box allows for a clean look and ability to use shorter HDMI 2.1 cables to connect your hardware devices.

I wasn’t sure about 8K tv’s and why they are being made, but once you have one, you won’t want to go back. I’ve seen the latest LG OLED’s and the Samsung S95B QD-OLED, but I don’t want to give up my 8k tv! It’s more about how clean 4K movies are when upscaled to 8K that gets you, not the very few and far in between 8k content. It’s just so clean. I love the breakout box for the ports, which makes the tv easy to wall mount almost flush. Samsung used to get a bad rap, but they’ve changed me. I used to be a Sony and LG OLED man, but after my Z9F UI Lag issues and constant need for restart, plus my B6 OLED burn-in, I’m now a Samsung guy! Hard to beat mini-led for brightness, color, darks and zero burn-in risks. Besides, look at OLED in some of the darkest scenes in popular shows like Ozark and GoT, you can’t see anything! You can turn brightess down or up on the Samsung, can’t do that on OLED, because it only get’s so bright to prevent burn-in. Enough about OLED, why don’t you have an 8K tv? Get the 800B when it goes on sale and never mind the marketing and hype of the others.

I purchased an open box QN65QN800A TV and ended up returning it. When plugged into my Denon Receiver the image would randomly go black for a second when watching some local channels. I tried replacing the HDMi cables and running software upgrades. Called Samsung and they said the issue was with the xfinity box. Called Xfinity and they said the issue was with the TV.
In the end got a refund and purchased a LG TV OLED.

Rancho Cucamonga sold us an open box (excellent-certified) that absolutely nothing included. This TV was unusable. Thank God we were able to return it to the San Bernardino store; where the customer service was excellent.

I’ve had several Samsung products over the years, most of my appliances, my TVs and all my phones. When my 4K QLED started having some issues I looked into an upgrade and found this Neo QLED 8K on sale so i decided to jump on it. I’ve had it over a year now and it runs flawless, the picture is amazing and when the screen goes dark it’s so black I think the TV shut off! Even my older QLED was gray on black screens, they really nailed it with this technology. The only thing I would have done different is I would have gotten a 4K Neo QLED if this wasn’t on sale.

I had my eye on the QN800A for a long time and was biding my time, waiting for the price to come down. My current TV was a Samsung Series 8 1080p 3D TV that I bought in 2011. I paired that with a Yamaha RX-V777 receiver that drove my 5.1 sound system, complete with a 10-inch woofer. This system performed flawlessly over the years and made me an ardent fan of both Samsung and Yamaha.
In order to get ready for the new Samsung 8K TV, I bought the Yamaha RX-A4A 8k receiver in mid December 2021 and quickly installed it on my current system, complete with 8K HDMI cable. I updated my Harmony 650 remote for the new receiver and everything worked great. Of course, my old Samsung Series 8 TV couldn’t take advantage of the higher resolution and other neat video capability that the RX-A4A produces, but I thought that, boy, the new TV (when I finally get it) should really be a smooth transition when I stick it in my system. Boy, was I WRONG!
I bought the 65-inch QN800A 8K Samsung TV in early February 2022 and Best Buy delivered it shortly thereafter. They hung it up for me, turned it on, and set up the Samsung pairing remote to run both the TV and the receiver. I thought, boy, I don’t need my Harmony 650 anymore. Boy, was I WRONG!
The day after it was installed, I turned on my equipment with the Samsung remote. TV came on, but receiver did not. I turned it on with the Yamaha controller. I tried to turn everything off with the Samsung remote and it worked. Turning everything on still did NOT work. Re-paired the Samsung remote. It worked for a day and then quit turning on the receiver again. Re-paired 2 more times, with same dismal results. Called Samsung and told the tech what I had done and asked him what to do. Person said to re-pair the remote. I sensed that this was going nowhere fast and ended the call. I looked at the Samsung user site, and people were having the same problem and the comments generally indicated that Samsung was not taking ownership of this problem. I asked the Best Buy Geek Squad what to do to fix the Samsung remote problem. The Best Buy rep told me to quit using it.
I finally decided to rely only on my Harmony 650 to control my new system.
Over time, additional firmware problems surfaced. My Yamaha receiver connects to the TV from its TV1 port via HDMI to the Samsung TV. Other Yamaha HDMI ports are used to connect signal generating devices that you want sent to the TV set. I used HDMI 5 for my ROKU, just like I did for my old 1080p Samsung (where everything worked perfectly!). I verified that my new Samsung TV was set up as follows;
Sound output set to Receiver (HDMI)
HDMI/eARC Mode set to off
Digital Output Audio Format set to Pass-Through
Anynet+ (HDMI-CRC is on
RX-A4A Yamaha receiver is listed under “Smart Things” and is selected as “Source”
Intelligent Mode is on
Receiver was selected for sound output
When I turned everything on, it worked…. for a while. Then after a few on/off cycles, I pointed my Harmony at the TV, everything turned on, the Yamaha showed sound coming from the ROKU ULTRA on HDMI5, and the sound was coming from the TV speakers! I rebooted the ROKU and the problem went away…for a while. Then one day there it was again. Took same corrective action, and the problem went away. Then one day I turned everything on and got a picture but no sound at all! Rebooted ROKU and problem went away…. for a while. I finally bought a new ROKU ULTRA complete with rechargeable remote, hoping that would fix the problem. Nope, problem still there.
I checked for firmware updates from Samsung and Yamaha several times. Yamaha notified me twice via the receiver that I had updates waiting, so naturally I told it to apply them. Keeping that particular piece of hardware up to date was a breeze. I never once heard from Samsung that I had an update available. I checked their website and found nothing newer than the firmware that came with the TV when I bought it.
I mentioned my problem to the Best Buy Geek squad and told them that my wonderful new 8K Samsung does not seem to want to play nice with my 8K Yamaha receiver. The Geek Squad agent said that particular TV model doesn’t play nice with any of the receivers that they sell.
I feel Samsung really let me down and I will never again buy a TV from them or anything else, including SSD for my PC or any other of their consumer products. I bought a 4K Blu-Ray player to use with my new TV. It was not a Samsung.

I love this tv. Picture quality is quite good, not exceptional as a lot of the time I’m streaming. Watched a few things in 8k and that’s where it really starts to shine. Sound out of the speakers is okay at best but I have a soundbar.

This TV is truly amazing. Samsung offers every app. You can imagine from streaming movies to streaming video games even web browsers. The 8k clarity is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and the 120hz at 4k pixelation is beautiful. Movie and games blow me away each and every time i use this tv. Samsung did such a great job i wont want anything but samsung ever again.
