    Looks great, works great, size is perfect and I LOVE the child lock. My husband has dementia and likes to put metal pans in the microwave (which is why I needed to buy a new one) and he burns everything to death in one. My house would be filled with smoke from him trying to heat something. The childlock is perfect!

    My only con is that with some new TV dinners you have to cook them a long time and the top of the microwave gets very hot. I don’t remember that happening on my old one.

    This microwave heats very evenly compared to others. Sensor functions seem to overcook frozen vegetables compared to my old microwave. I wish buttons were glass capacitance, but overall, I am pleased.

    Exactly what we wanted to replace a failing (and old) Panasonic microwave. We especially liked that this model has a right side panel that is very similar to our previous microwave; we like the numbers.

    A fantastic unit! I had the smaller Panasonic model first, and it was riddled with problems. But this baby….works fabulously! Easy to use, efficient, does the job.

    The only downside (and this is really minor and nit-picking) is that the “stainless steal-like” (not real SS), is almost impossible to remove smudges and fingerprints.

    It has a lot of functions (many that I don’t use), but I’m sure they are useful to some folks.

    I was really glad I had this unit on hand when my gas stove suddenly stopped working, and I couldn’t get a new one delivered for over a week. I made a lot of homemade dishes in this microwave during that time that I normally make in the conventional over: chili, lamb stew, split-pea soup, from-scratch pot pies, even blueberry scones! The meat dishes were tender and tasty, the soups were flavorful, and even the scones turned out well! (Hmmm…I may never go back to the gas stove for baking scones. LOL! I found a great microwave scone recipe on the internet that allows me to make only 1-2 scones at a time–perfect for a single gal!)

    Pros: Fast. Nice appearance. Good selection of heating options. Large cooking area.
    Cons: Needs a backlight for the control pad. Those over 40 will need their readers for the same control pad.

    So far love this microwave. Hope it will last many years. The beeps are not terribly loud which is fine with me. Heating seems to be even and fast.

    Good replacement for a Kenmore Elite that died. Just wish it had a one button 30 second setting. Have to push start after the touching the 30 second button

    I love everything about this microwave except the text on the buttons. Its white on stainless steal. Very hard to see especially in poor lighting. When hitting the express cook button you also have to hit the start button.

    This Panasonic replaced a previous Panasonic that was an excellent product until it died recently after many, many years of daily use. We wanted to replace it with another Panasonic based on its performance. This microwave is even better than its predecessor, and is more attractive. Cooks evenly, is quiet, simple to operate, easy to clean. A definite 5-star performer!

    1st microwave was defective-second one seems ok, but is still flimsy compared to the 15 year old LG it replaced. Also, it surges to 18 amps for 5 seconds, then drops to 14. I had to have a bigger breaker installed.

    I bought this microwave because I loved the older model. I wanted the inverter tech, 1250 watts, and 2.2 cu ft. But why would they redesign it to make it less functional? The light is so dim as to be useless, and the light gray lettering on the touch screen means you have to be 4 inches away to see it. Silly!

    Nice microwave. Large, looks good and functions as it should. The real question is how long does it last. We have had to replace two microwaves (different brands) over the last 5 to 6 years. Hope this one lasts quite a bit longer.

    The microwave and associated “trim kit” were pretty much the only choice available when our 18 year old microwave (built in to a 27″ cabinet” finally broke. The trim kit seems to have originally been engineered for a 30″ cabinet, and then they made one for a 27″. Unfortunately, without seriously mangling the vent tunnel on the trim kit, it can’t be installed. In the end, we got it all working and hopefully it will be good for the next 18 years.

    I bought this for my 82 yr old Mother for Christmas. Her 40yr old Kenmore was on it’s last leg. She absolutely loves the new machine !! I have used it myself several times. Everything is awesome. I have used it to defrost frozen meat, warm my coffee -and- to nuke left-overs. The buttons are easy to read and the microwave is easy to use and understand. Thanx PANASONIC for making this awesome piece of equipment for my Mother to use !!

    Researched reviews online and found the Panasonic Microwave technology very highly rated on multiple sites so decided this was the one to buy…..it doesn’t disappoint. Seems like it cooks a little quicker and most of all heats food evenly. Absolutely recommend. Great purchase.

    Replacement for 20 year old builders grade GE. Much more powerful and easy to use. Had to do some cabinet modifications to make it fit properly, but with the optional surround it looks great. Only negative is no independent kitchen timer option.

    This review should be taken with a grain or two of salt since I’ve only had the microwave oven for less than a month. First, it is as close to a direct replacement for the previous oven from Panasonic which lasted 13 years! That’s a tough act to follow but so far the oven has performed perfectly. Remove from box, plug it in, set the clock and begin cooking. I haven’t used any of the ‘special buttons yet , same as the previous. We mostly use it for reheating prepared leftovers and so far it does that perfectly. The heating is a bit more even than the old oven and it heats things quicker too. I did a lot of research on as many similarly sized and priced ovens and this one IMO had the best reviews so I’m not surprised with the performance so far. I also bought the protection plan just to be safe. I would recommend this oven and was glad Panasonic syoll made an improved verson.

    The first one we bought was damaged with two big dents on the side. Then the second one after the first use a error code appeared with h98. Poor quality and workmanship.

    The box appeared to have been dropped/damaged in shipping. We are in the middle of a remodel so haven’t used it yet but are going to get it tried soon to ensure all works.

    After 5 visits to the store and physically returning 2 incorrect microwaves, I finally got one installed that works as expected and fits my needs. Staff was very friendly and tried to help but were not well-trained. Very frustrating.
