Honestly, these might as well be paper weights. You have to have these speakers 3 inches from your ear to hear anything from them.

There are many things to say! First, you cannot beat thise price and it’s so worth it! One must get these speakers for a full surround sound experience. I love the fact that the system is wireless and connect via bluetooth to my soundbar which makes them very convenient to put away when I don’t want to use them. It was extremely easy to setup. It literally took a few minutes to connect the wires and for it to connect to my LG S80QY that I previously bought from Best Buy during last year’s Black Friday sale. I absulotely love my soundbar and this add on topped it off!

I got these to add surround to my soundbar and they don’t disappoint. I’ve not had any issues with the timing of the audio and they add some of that surround that I need for immersion with my movies. They aren’t the loudest or most clear sounding, but they work and they work well.

I didn’t really get a chance to enjoy this product. It would on and off. They were supposed to be compatible with the LG soundbar I bought, but the connection was unreliable. Returned all of it and bought a Bose system instead.

Bought these to compliment our LG S80 sound bar, they definitely add the surround sound effect. I only gave them 4 stars, these arent as big as they look in the pictures, they are actually pretty small.

I got this for my SN6Y after being told by the best buy worker it was compatible. Its not and its not even on the list. Wish i would have reseaeched it more. I also find it ridiculous LG has different rear speakers for different models. You really cant make the wireless drivers cross compatible? Its sad especially since these aren’t cheap. Needless to say ill never buy LG speakers again.

Added these speakers to my LG S90QY and they make a world of difference. Without these speakers you could 100% tell that all the sound was coming from the sound bar. Atmos object placement suffered because of the poor side speaker performance. I added these to the mix set a 120 degree angle from the main listening position. I set them at that angle to help the sound bar reproduce sound at my sides. Now when I’m playing a video game in either 7.1 PCM or Dolby Atmos there’s a marked improvement not only to the rear sounds but the side sounds as well. Downside is they aren’t completely wireless and have to be connected to a receiver by speaker wire. Also I wouldn’t pay the MSRP of $199. Luckily these are frequently on sale for $99.

Easy to use, easy to setup. Good connection, no issues with soundbar losing the device. The wifi/reciever box is simple, with only R/L out for the two included 3ohm (oddly low impedence) loudspeakers. It would hugely benefit from RCA out. The DSP in the reciever is ok, I think they do a good job of acting as rear speakers in 5.1 and dolby content, though dolby seems to isolate the rear channel much better. The cons! The amplifier creates a lot of hum coming through the speakers at low volume, which ruins the audio quality at low volume and is also irritating. There is no option to turn off the speakers in the app. In some content, the speakers are just too quite, and then in stereo they are too loud. This could be fixed by allowing a greater control in the app, but overall the system is just cheap. Cheap in quality, cheap in price. Over all, it adds a much needed component to the lg sound bars that can use it. It is just handicapped by a poor quality amp, which could be rectified with RCA out. If I could go back and do it again, I would look other places then LG for a sound system. That being said, I still enjoy having them.

Original open box item came without a power supply. I had initial trouble with customer support reps telling me that the power supply was an optional add on I should purchase separately. I eventually got a “rational” person who sent me a return label and got me a different one sent off to me which resolved my issue. The item works well and instantly made a wireless connection and started working. Would definitely recommend this kit to add some additional sound to the rear.

I think these speakers are ok at best. I added them to my LG SQ90Y sound bar. I may have had too high of expectations however I did not get the fully immersive feel that I was looking for.
I have the rear speaker volume to its max and only get minimal sounds from them. I only occasionally hear them when watching television/movies. I’ll put my ear to them and they do work however, I don’t hear them from where I’m viewing television.

Trusting our instincts can be important, but it’s also natural to seek out additional information before making a purchase. It’s frustrating when that information turns out to be incorrect, though. In this case, it sounds like the LG representative’s statement was misleading. These will not work with the SP8YA.
