Easy to set up. Very good bass. Wireless detachable rear speakers are a big plus. Would be nice to have more music streaming apps built in (ex. Spotify & Pandora). Equalizer is pretty basic.

After listening to this soundbar, reading tons of rave reviews , and the cherry on top- wireless surround speakers , this system hits every mark. Clear sound, excellent effects, automatically changes when a different sound source is chosen, plus, I was able to use my turntable though an optical cable adapter. So, so very happy

Great when it works with your tv remote control. The surround sound is amazing. Works on and off with tv remote control which is very frustrating. Volume control will stop working with tv control in the middle of a program so you have to look for its remote control to adjust the volume. Return period ended when it started otherwise I would have returned it.

The JBL Bar 1000 is my very first soundbar and I feel like I hit the jackpot on first try. I walked into Best Buy to compare soundbars and the minute the associate showed me this I was blown away. The subwoofer, the detachable speakers, the Dolby Atmos, just EVERYTHING. The price was a bit higher than what I was intending to spend but I understand you get what you pay for. Plainly put the JBL Bar 1000 has been worth every penny!

For a soundbar and sub combo it was good. It didn’t have an option to change frequencies or adjust the sub bass without the sound bar base so when the bass is up it muddies the clarity. My wife and kids loved it, but for $900 I returned it.. then went and spent big money on a full theater instead.

We love the detachable speakers. Gives everything a real 3d feel to the sound. Not as loud as we thought it would be, max is around 30 and 17 is normal volume for our smallish room and 25 and up is where we watch movies at.

Bought an excellent open box. Not sure for what reason, one of the rear detachable speaker is not as loud as the other. Beside of that, the quality is very good and powerful.
