    The Insignia 2.1 Soundbar w/ Wireless Subwoofer is an excellent addition to my Insignia LCD Television. It’s not my primary television, but I wanted to improve the quality and I snatched this at an incredible price during the holiday. After getting it mounted and together it’s provided incredible clear crisp sound once I bought a optical cable (no include), the A/V cables included were definitely inadequate to get crisp clear sound, but that is to be expected, once I swapped out it’s been all good to the ears!

    For the price it has good sound, i would like a little more quality, like i said previous, for the price it’s decent. Definitely desinged more for like a small bedroom or a tiny living room. If using in any space larger than a 13×13 it’s not going to do well.

    Occasionally the subwoofer will disconnect from the sound bar if the bass coming from the sound source isn’t consistent. I.e, a movie or music where bass cuts off… once it recognizes thers bass, it’ll come on again without notice.

    Sound quality is great but if you have a Visio tv you do need to buy an hdmi arc cord to pair the soundbar to the tv

    I purchased this for our 20 year old son when we purchased him a new tv at Best Buy. It was only right for him to get a bigger tv as well as a sound bar. Everything was fine until he opened it for Christmas and we set it up and realized it did not come with the optical cable we needed for him to hear any sound. Because it was Christmas I had to take one off my sound bar in my loft and purchase a new one to replace the one he had. The price was good. Paid under $100 for it and when we finally got it going the sound was nice and he was happy. Over all 5 stars and it works great for his new 50 inch tv as well as his PS5 and music streaming.

    I was happy with my purchase, until I installed it.

    For whatever reason, although it seemed to indicate that it was hooked up correctly, it produced no sound whatsoever, and the TV did not recognize that I had plugged in external speakers.

    I had to return it.

    Soundbar does get pretty loud and has decent bass, no controls for treble or bass other then the preinstalled EQ settings. Was purchased for a spare room in my house and for the price you really cant complain.

    OMG you’ve got to be kidding. Yes, this thing has bass. The subwoofer is decent. But that’s where the sound quality ends. I can’t believe how bad it is. I was playing some Taylor Swift for my daughter and her acoustic guitar just about disappeared! She had no “S” sounds in her vocals. I compared this to the built in speakers in our 5 year old TCL TV. Which is no champion, by any stretch. And the tv sound definition was far superior. Now granted the tv has no bass at all. Then again, If you go into another room all you hear is thump thump thump from the subwoofer of this thing. The sound is completely unbalanced.

    This is why I’ve learned to mistrust online reviews. It’s like people hear a little bass and they’re happy. Look, if you are listening to these and you’re playing music, you are losing out on a lot of sound definition! These are terrible. One star for a little subwoofer that puts out an amazing amount of bass.

    So you think you can’t get good sound quality at this price level? My creative speakers on my pc are much better than these. So is my little jbl sound cylinder thing. That’s 100 bucks. This bar? It’s terrible. Sending it back.

    First i was told it was the only one in stock, then take it home even after i asked was this pre used one cause it looked open. was told no its new. 30min later was back at store (same store) to get money back and they gave me a replacement?(how when i was told there was only one in store? brought it home an it works but meeeh..

    Insignia is known to be budget friendly, and honestly, i like the brand. I needed a tv and it was within my price range. Yes, the color doesn’t transition very well, but mainly there are sound issues. Scenes will be loud but you can’t hear a word a person says. So i buy this soundbar. It does help a little, but make sure your tv volume is not on, or it will be an echo. It makes up for the bass, but no setting will make everything sound perfect. It’s either muffled voices but good bass, or loud with no bass. There is a slight happy medium, but overall I consider this item “good enough” or “better than nothing”.

    I got this system for my sister and her husband and they Love it, something they didn’t know they needed until they got one. They can’t believe they’ve gone that long without it, I’m sure this thing is solid, especially for this price I should have bought more…with total member it’ll last a lifetime.
