This is not a cheap monitor. Even with the discounted price on top of the refurbished price, a singular bad pixel in the middle of the monitor results in a 1 star. This pixel decided to start being bad quite literally 30 mins until I was no longer able to return/replace this thing. Now I get to live with this very expensive stuck pixel. Yes, I can “fix” it. But it comes back. It has come back every time I turn on the monitor. No amount of those RGB videos fixes this thing. It just comes back. I really am upset. Not sure what refurbished means. I guess put it back in a box and ship it as is? Who knows. I’ll try to post a picture of it later.

Upon receiving- a large scratch was present on the screen. How did this pass quality inspection? Best Buy wouldn’t replace the monitor. They only gave the option of refund.

I love the monitor! Even though theres a few negative reviews (for refub.) its really good. I have a new one I purchased a year ago from bestbuy and I’ve had this one since May and no dead pixels. I also purchased it with 4 year warranty so I have nothing to worry about. Planning on buying a third soon!

The main reason I got this monitor was to boost my fps in-game because my 60hz monitor wasn’t cutting it anymore. When playing almost every game I get on average 150 fps… amazing!
Also I’m under high suspion the S2716DG was actually new. Everything had plastic still on it and couldn’t one bit of ware on the stand or monitor itself. Thanks Best Buy!

Works great I use it with a Nvidia RTX 2080 Super and get 144 fps with most games that aren’t too hard too run. Other games that I don’t get 144fps still look really nice.
Love the USB ports on the monitor makes cable management for my mouse, keyboard, and headphones alot better.
Overall a great monitor and I’ll probably get another down the road.

When I received this.. the unit Was inside a brown box when I opened that brown box I found the original box that It was packed in the box had been smashed on the corner then when I proceeded to open it up I noticed on the top there was a bunch of empty wrappers for things I assume I didn’t get like one of them the display port cable then when I got underneath the Styrofoam that was cracked I noticed that my screen looked OK but have fingerprints all over the edge and sides I turned it on and looked it ok w pixels so far ..we’ll see how it goes

There was a few stains on the monitor that are noticeable when the computer is off.
Besides that it is a refurbish and I am happy about the product that I received. 4/5

I’m always skiddish about purchasing refurbished electronics but at the time of my purchase, this was too good of a deal to pass up. The g-sync feature was perfect for my NVIDIA 1070 and I wanted to downgrade from a 55″ “TV” to a real gaming monitor and I couldn’t be happier!
I get true 144 Hz refresh and my FPS are through the roof. I noticed immediately the lack of lag input and crispness of the picture. My characters and inputs respond unbelievably fast and has honestly made me a better gamer. I thought I’d miss the “bigness” of a 55″ but I don’t even notice because I’m so wrapped up in the quality of the games and how much more fun they are now.
The ONLY downside, and it’s not even really a downside because it was refurbished, but there were some minor scratches on the back. But again, it’s refurbished. Definitely going to buy a second one when the prices come down a little more.

The first one lasted about a year before the first dead pixel. The two I got with the geek squad replacements also had dead pixels. Got tired of the hassle and returned for refund and got s newer LG.

I love this monitor. The picture is amazing, colors look beautiful and with it being 1440p everything looks crystal clear. The bezels are very small. I have no complaints about this monitor, I actually have two of them and it is amazing. My only problem is this is my second time purchasing this monitor refurbished and my first one was essentially brand new but this one has a dead pixel that is a bit annoying, but i guess that is a risk of buying refurbished.

So far this monitor has been tremendous. I would adjust the colors to what either a review on here said or a guy on the Amazon reviews, can’t remember which. Other than that, monitor was in perfect condition and has a great picture.

3 years and 6 months of use, 3 hot summers. on and off gaming. mostly browsing, movies, work. connected to both mac and pc.
monitor is starting to cloud/smudge along the upper right corner; de-laminate. this refurbished unit from best buy was defective and dell provided me with a replacement; which is also refurbished. this was my first “nice” monitor since it had g-sync. its a shame these monitors are only good for 3.5 years. seems like edge de-lamination is a common issue with these models. dell even gives it a name “yogore/mura defect”. nothing can be done. i had my fun (average), now its time to buy a real big boy monitor that doesn’t have “yogore defect”.
i would not buy another “gaming” dell monitor. knowing its only good for 3.5 years.
