    Nick took my suggestion on where I’d like the microphone (many places would do what they wanted) and installed everything beautifully. I could have expected either quality work or quick work and I got both. He was friendly and they even got me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I would trust these folks with my car all day.

    Best customer service I ever received. Guys looked nice and chill, very knowledgeable in the installation process. Even went as far to help me get setup with my new stereo. Can’t remember the techs names, but definitely set up an appointment with the guys at the Oceanside store, off the 78 highway.

    I had already come in a month before to get my backup radio installed but it was never connected because “they didn’t have enough time” then i get a new appointment and they take 3 hours to connect a small thing of wires.

    The service wasgreat. We started at the Portland store the sales reps were very knowledgable and got me fitted with the kind of radio I was looking for. The installation team was in Augusta and were helpful installing and trouble shooting my system. They corrected everything they could and advised me on what else I needed.

    I ended up returning everything due to Tech telling me to install the XM reciever even though he woukd have the dashboard apart would be another $50 and I would need to make another appointnent 3 weeks out to install just that part even though he was scheduled to install new radio.

    Car installation date was pushed out 1 month of purchase. Then on installation day, best buy employee didn’t order right part. Now have to wait another month for installation. 2 months to install radio that was purchased 30 days is not worth future best buy business.

    My appointment was on a Monday, the Sunday before my scheduled appointment I received a call saying they had a cancellation and did I want to come in early. I get there and the technician said it would be about an hour but he actually had it done in about 30 mins. Great customer service

    Very poor installation even after i paid them $200 extra for stereo control kit for Jeep steering wheel controls that dont work. Installer was late to work but tried blaming me for being late, i told him i checked in 15 minutes early up front and they said he was not here yet. Then he tried to reschedule and i pushed back as i came from out of town to have it installed. sheesh!

    As a woman who knows nothing about cars or electronics, I am always stressed about being ripped off or negatively treated. I was shocked to find out that Best Buy even offered stereo installations! And when I got there, not only was the customer service truly genuine from all the staff, but they were even able to fix OTHER issues I had in my car that I didn’t realize were related to my stereo & electrical! I drove in expecting a stereo installation, and drove out with an amazing quality system, my sunroof fixed, Bluetooth installed, and my steering wheel controls being functional for the first time ever! I am truly blown away. I fell back in love with my car, and will be recommending anyone I can to go there for even a portion of the experience I got. Thank you so so much!

    Bought a new stereo receiver and backup camera including free installation on the receiver. I scheduled the appointment online and immediately called to schedule the camera at the same time since the dash would already be torn apart (wishful thinking). I was told I would have to schedule the camera install at a later date. (No reason given, but I assumed it was time related). Prior to the day of the install, I pre-mounted the backup camera and ran the wire to the front of my Jeep hoping the techs would be nice enough to simply hookup the wiring to the new receiver since the dash would already be taken apart. I still expected to pay the camera installation fee which was fine.

    On the day of the appointment, I politely asked the tech if they would attach the rear-camera wires to the new receiver. The tech immediately said no and appeared annoyed. I was informed that it was Geek Squad policy that they cannot install or hookup equipment that has been partially installed by the customer. He further stated I would have to uninstall the wiring and schedule an appointment on another day. So rather than take 5 minutes to attach the wire from the newly purchased backup camera from Best Buy to the new receiver (also purchased at Best Buy), they were telling me to remove all the wiring and camera, then schedule an appointment, and return on another day so they could take my dash apart again, remove the newly installed receiver, and attach three wires. I couldn’t believe it and I bluntly told him what I thought of the “policy.”
    The tech was not friendly and lacked any social skills.

    The receiver was installed without issue and done nicely. When I returned to retrieve my Jeep, one tech was on a smoke break (nice guy) and the other tech who I initially dealt with was nowhere to be seen. No other customers waiting or vehicles in the bay.

    So why would it have been so difficult to simply attach the wires from the new backup camera to the new stereo receiver? It would have been no different if a pre-existing camera had already been connected to the old unit and I was just replacing the stereo receiver.

    If that’s an actual policy, it’s a horrible business practice and a great way to lose a customer. If it was the tech employee simply being difficult and rude, it’s time for him to move on.

    Have not got it installed yet purchased Dec 2nd got a text with a date of Jan 12th called to confirm install on Jan 10th and someone canceled my install and I have been getting the run around for the past two days still don’t know when this will happen if ever finely got number for the installer to call in the morning to see what they can do. Very disappointed and unhappy with how this has gone so far!!

    I can’t give you a review about the installation, I waited almost a month, went in to get my stereo installed and all of the parts were not in.this is after being rescheduled by the store. I waited for 2 hours trying to get my refund of 752 dollars. First they gave me 400 and said thank you. I informed them that they needed to give me the remaining balance. After about 10 minutes they gave me another 200 dollars. I informed them that they still owed me ruffly 150 dollars more. Finally I got all of the money they owed me. I wouldn’t recommend best buy for ANYTHING!!! Also I had told them I had to get it installed on a Saturday. They rescheduled me for a Thursday at noon. I lost half a days pay on top of all the crap that they put me through.
