Easy to use and good for the storage for the PlayStation 5

Very fast, compact external SSD. I use it on the PS5 and checked beforehand to make sure of its compatibility. You can store and play PS4-specific games directly from it but can only STORE PS5 games on it. To play PS5 games, you’ll need to transfer the game back to the internal storage but that’s exactly why I opted for the SSD instead of the hard drive. Transferring games is done in a few minutes at the most. It’s a USB-A to USB-C connector included so it hooks up to the back of the console and stays out of the way. A little plastic stand is also included for added aesthetic. Great purchase, would recommend!

Set up is easy. You can’t “stream” or play PS5 games directly from it, but you can easily copy it back and forth between this SSD and the PS5 to shuffle your library around for playing whatever. Small pain, but if you have a PS5 you know you’ll need one sooner rather than later.

Bought this thinking i could expand my PS5 data storage and play ps5 games direct from this external SSD. No. You cant. They can be store…but have to be transfered back to the internal HD to be played…only games available to play direct from your external are ps4 game. Shouls have done my home work. Works as it should and its quick.

Staff tech expert, Isaiah (Best Buy, Palm Desert,CA), dissuaded me from the product I thought I needed, and strongly recommended this drive, which was also on sale (!). Although it was more expensive than the product I planned on, the versatility in features made it the perfect choice. Set-up was easy, it meshed seamlessly with the Xbox, and it made me a hero to my grandson on his 10th birthday.

Works fine but the guy who helped me at the store was incorrect when he told me that another type of external drive was only compatible with Apple OS but after I returned home and did my own research on the drive in question, which was larger in capacity and had thunder connection, which my Windows PC laptop has, would have worked just fine on my laptop and bieng larger in capacity would have provided more of what an external drive is usually sought to give said user. No big deal though, I’m good with being given incorrect information.

Works great for my PS5. You’ll appreciate faster download/upload speeds vs. HDD’s specifically because in order to play PS5 games saved to the external drive, you have to move them back the the PS5. If you catch it on sale, I recommend even more. Great product. Works great, and is overall aesthetically pleasing. You won’t be disappointed.

It is good for someone who want to carry their saved gaming progress anywhere but I wanted an internal storage so it can be used for installing games within. Everytime you will have to copy the games from external SSD to your console to play your game.

If you are looking for an external drive to connect to your ps5 or xbox series x JUST to store next gen games, then this product works just fine. If you read any reviews that say it allows you to play next gen console games directly from it, DO NOT TRUST THEM. I just bought this as a way to store and play ps5 games without the hassle of transferring the games back and forth every time I want to play them. I read a couple reviews and some mentioned that you can play ps5 games directly from it. I just plugged it and it makes me transfer ps5 games to internal storage before playing them. Product works great for STORING ps5 games and NOT for PLAYING them. Save yourself the trouble and buy a new internal SSD for your ps5. It may take longer to set up but it allows you to store and play ps5 games without transferring them.

Bought this for my ps5 to store my ps5 games on and be able to play them without the hassle of delete and download. I soon found out you can store games on it but you have to redownload the ps5 games to the console to play them. Upsetting but it works I guess.
