    They improved a lot from “The Last of Us.” Graphics are detailed and characters more lifelike. Combat is more visceral and intense. Story is great, but it may not be for everyone.

    The only flaw with the game is the pacing with the dual storylines. You are invested with the current storyline and then boom pause current storyline and switch characters. Sure it gives us insight on what is going on and sets up on what we can expect, but makes the game feel longer than it should.

    Note for anyone starting this game 1st time. The prologue I think is the longest part of the game. I clocked in almost 2hr 40mins. At least you can save anywhere where you are not in combat. Also be prepared to take some long breaks to process what just happened.

    I loved the first game for the story and the gameplay. Part II on the other hand I only love for the gameplay. The story is…interesting. I guess I can live with the fact that they killed the main player character, Joel, at the beginning of the game. I wanted Ellie to get her revenge, but for some reason the story decides for Ellie, and by extension to you the player, that revenge isn’t worth it. How many people do we already kill and yet somehow Abby is where we stop? On top of it we have to play as Abby so you can ideally gain some empathy for her. The problem is I already know what she did, and I hate her for it. The story is also told in a weird way where you play several days the first have the game as Ellie, and then you start over the same set of days as Abby the last half of the game. I think they wanted to time the story in an artistic way, but it would have been better had it been told concurrently.

    It’s a really good game with a really good story, especially if you played the previous one. This is a game that you can enjoy while gaming from whenever you need something more Slower and not fast pace. It haves a story that will get you engaged more than you would expect.

    Let ne start off by saying, I am not a gamer and i get bored easily, i bought my ps4 in 2017 and i only used it twice, up until i started playing uncharted series during covid(2020). Fast foward to 2023. I was browsing and i saw this title. It was on sale, so i bought it.ive been playing it for the last month and it has kept me entertained and like i said i get bored easily, after i was done with the game , ill go back and replay a part and put it in survival mode, keeps you on your toes ! great game ! Great storytelling!

    I bought this game because I am a big fan of the show. With the writers strike that was looming, I wasn’t sure when season 2 would arrive. This game is incredibly long and the storyline is fascinating, shocking, and disturbing. The narrative is a bit jarring, but if you’re willing to look past that, you’re in for a good time.

    Having read reviews for this game before purchase I had very few expectations. After playing for myself, some of the concerns I had were confirmed and some of my expectations were greatly exceeded. If you are a fan of the first ‘The Last of Us’ game, then I would recommend playing this game – especially if you are planning to watch the upcoming second season of the Max show.
