    Bought mid Sep 21. Started out great for playing COD and Sky on my iPad. Good controller play and feel. Great battery life. In Apr 22 (only 6 1/2 months old), the controller began to drift left occasionally when it was supposed to be stopped, then it progressed to a constant left run command that would not stop. Now, it no longer recognizes any motion to the left. I downloaded the SteelSeries GG app which should contain the SteelSeries Engine that is too be used for managing SteelSeries products, however that app only recognizes that the Nimbus+ is connected and can report that it is firmware 1.0.1.0 but provides no capability to reset/calibrate the controller. After such glowing reviews and recommendation from Apple for this controller, I would have expected it to last longer that 7 months (at a rate of only about 60 minutes a day). I have since seen others report problems with this controller and the lack of ability calibrate or reset. I do not recommend this product.

    Defective product. Avoid. A simple Google search will show that many people have had problems with this controller. The controller has been know to Brock after charging for no apparent reason. Inputs will drop as well. Not to mention it’s missing basic feature on like rumble. Terrible company. They won’t refund or exchange it.

    Bought 2. Love mine. Connects easy. Be better if one controller Connected to all devices. But you have to setup 1 for each setup iOS, android etc

    …great. However, i have reached the point of returning this item so many times. I use yhe contoller to play a single game i have installed on 2 different iPads. Ine at the office, one at home. So many times the unit just wants to turn in circles to the left. I read where supposedly this is an indicator of a need to charge…but after only 20-45 min of use? Other tunes, it works perfect…or not at all. Even though the iPad as well as the game indicates the controller is connected. Frustrating.

    Why I took a Star off… NO USB-C Charger Hole. That being said the control feels nice in the hand. Better design than the prior mode I have. (thought it was the new charging standard…but alas, no.) but got it so cheaply that I decided to keep it so maybe friends can play. Love the magnetic joy sticks so no more Drift problems. Didn’t get it to play with my phone. So can’t speak of if the phone holder works or not. BUT, no instructions on how to use the stand. So your own your own for that one. It will work with most any apple products that has a screen and access to games.

    So far, so good with this controller. It is super responsive and pairs quickly with your Apple TV (or, I presume, any Apple product). Previous reviews have mentioned that it charges slowly, which it does. An odd design choice: the LEDs only indicate on/off status, not battery charge level, which is weird since there are three LEDs. So you have monitor the power level of your controller through Bluetooth device settings, which is less than ideal.

    Great battery life, no connectivity issues, phone clamp is grippy even when laying down case or not. Only negative would be the buttons are very clicky so could be a deal breaker.

    Works fine w/ AppleTV.

    Continually disconnects when using on my M3 Mac.
    Their website doesn’t even mention M3 – claims they are diligently working on M1 and M2 support …

    Works fine when connected, but is basically unusable when it disconnects every 30 seconds.

    If you power cycle it enough times you may eventually get a good connection and be able to play. Frustrating to say the least.

    Claim to be working on a firmware update for macOS Sonoma to address the disconnecting issue … no recent progress reported.

    Oh yeah – in order to even check for a firmware update, you have to download their “GG” app, grant it keyboard input monitoring access, and connect it via USB. And then apparently it is supposed tell you if there is an update. But it won’t actually confirm you are up to date. So you have to guess if you trust that it’s properly connected and checking for updates.

    Overall I wish I had bought a PS controller for basically the same price.

    The controller is very durable. The battery life lasts a long time. I had no problems getting it synced to the unit. I should’ve purchased this long ago. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has Apple TV, it makes playing the games a whole lot easier. For the price and what you get this was a good purchase. It even comes with an accessory to hold your cellphone. I purchased one and liked it so much I bought a second one.

    This is a really nice controller from a design and weight standpoint and the buttons are nice. However, I specifically purchased this to play games on my nice new M3 iMac and it will not maintain a consistent bluetooth connection; it drops every minute or two and that renders it basically useless for gaming on the Mac. Perhaps they can fix this with a firmware update, but right now it’s not recommended for a Mac.

    This control is great. The battery life is unbelievable and all we needed to get some nice use out of our Apple TV. My son uses it for his iPad all the time now too. Some say it’s not as nice as the name brand system ones but I have zero complaints, other than the price seems too high imo.
