Great sound. Very clear. Voice mode is very clear . Other units I’ve owned the voice mode isn’t very clear or background sounds drown out the voices . That’s not the case here

Amazing sound!
Had one issue worth mentioning: we had random audio drop-outs. By random, I mean, 6 hrs one time, two hours the next, The picture would be normal, just no sound whatsoever. The soundbar info would show nothing wrong. Sometimes switching the HDMI input around and back to the original would help, sometimes not. So I started disconnecting input sources.
We have an AppleTV*, Sony Blu-ray and Kinivo HDMI switch connected – one guess which one was causing the problem – the Kinivo switch, of course! After disconnecting it, the audio drop-outs appear to have stopped. Since we have multiple games connected to the switch, I replaced the Kinivo with a Tripplite HDMI switch and so far, so good!

Crisp clean sounds with earth moving bass. It’s like living in a speaker. When the neighbors came over to figure out if a car crashed through the wall of the house while I was watching Fast and Furious, I couldn’t hear them banging on the door over the booming sound of Vin Diesel’s voice as lectured on “Family”.

Excellent sound. I love having a 10″ sub. My old sub had 2 5 1/2 speakers, so this is def an upgrade. My only complaint is that the sub has trouble connecting when I turn the TV on. The sound bar connects every time but the sub has to be unplugged and reset in order to connect. Def a steal on sale for $499!

I’ve been really impressed with this bar so far. I moved to a house with a much different layout and needed to give up my 5.1 system. While this obviously isn’t the same, this system decodes Dolby Digital and DTS signals well, and sound great. The wireless sub paired up easily and has stayed connected with no issues since day one. I control the soundbar using an ARC out from my TV and the connection has been seamless with no issues. It also has the ability to connect to a wireless network, and works well with Google Cast/AirPlay streaming and can be controlled via the Google Home app as well. It helps even more that the bar is pretty slim so it doesn’t take up a ton of space like some of the taller ones from other companies.

I purchased this soundbar as an upgrade to a Sony with 2.1. In my setup, the sound bar also serves as a receiver. The Polk Magnafi Max AX can run all of my tech and sounds great. The thing that immediately stands out to me is the voice/dialog. (Even in the default setting) Playing music also sounds great. Not too bassy…even with the huge, down firing subwoofer. Set up was easy with Amazon/Alexa…but there are other options. The only negative is the random popping/cracking sound. Really distracting and brings the whole system down. No excuse for something like that at this price point.
I originally purchased the unit without the surround speakers. Recently added them. They make a huge difference. Save yourself the time and energy and buy the complete unit with the surround speakers.

I’ve been using a Klipsh Cinema 600 for about 3-4 yrs but unfortunately it stopped working. It was a good soundbar and using it made me realize that you need a system with a 10 inch subwoofer because soundbars in general are not that strong (compared to a Home Theater system with a receiver), so an 8 inch subwoofer just doesn’t cut it in most soundbars. After some research on the current soundbars I decided to get the Polk MagniFi Max AX since it had the 10 inch subwoofer and it was reasonably priced. This thing sound so much better than the Bose soundbars I tested at my local Best Buy and the Klipsh Cinema 600 I was using. It completely buries my other previous soundbars I used in the past (Klipsh RSB14 and a Sony model I can’t remember) It has amazing clarity and the subwoofer has that nice pounding bass that you can definitely hear. You can individually adjust the bass volume but I only went barely above mid volume on the bass since it started to overpower the other sounds.
Now, this is not AV Receiver level of power and you shouldn’t be expecting that from pretty much ANY soundbar, because it just cannot put out that kind of power. But, if you’re like me and are done with speaker placement and running wires, this Polk soundbar is for you. Trust me, unless you’re expecting insane power out of your $500 soundbar, this is the one for you.

I’ve been watching and waiting to purchase this soundbar package for a while and finally got it! The sound is so crisp and I love the way you can adjust the voice audio! There are so many settings to adjust to the way you want to hear what you’re watching. Then they also have a auto adjust setting if you want it to auto adjust depending on what you’re watching. The only down side is that sometimes when I turn on the tv the sound does not go on automatically. So I have to turn it off and then back on for it to kick in. Not sure why that is. Other than that it works great and was extremely easy to set up.

So it took a minute to figure out the setup because Samsung likes to complicate things. Had to do a deep dive into the internet. Not polks fault though. Once i figured it out… wow. It packs a heck-a-va punch. Beautiful sound and deep rumbling bass.

I love this sound bar. In my personal opinion, I think this is soundbar has BOSE 900 beat. I highly recommend adding the SR2 speakers for a better Dolby Atmos experience.

Great soundbar. I route all my auxiliary “boxes” (Blu ray, Roku, etc) through the sound bar, with one feed to the TV. This sound bar automatically knows the port the active feed is coming from and adjusts. Good price point, especially on sale or open-box. Much better than the Sony I replaced.

This system works great in our 20 X 30 family room. The 10″ Sub delivers excellent, clear bass. The sound bar is crisp and clear. It fits nicely over our 50″ TV. We are looking at getting the surround speakers in the future.
