Easy to set up, download the app then scan the QR code. Router works good in my medium sized house. Signal drops to 2 bars in the garage but still gets good speed. This one is definitely worth it.

I swapped over from the eero Pro 6E to the Nighthawk RAXE300 because the eero kept dropping my smart devices. The setup process for the nighthawk was incredibly simple and provides Gig speeds over WiFi to my 6E devices. I haven’t had any issues with my devices being disconnected. Highly satisfied!
Zayyy –
The app set up was a little weird and had some bugs

Honestly I do see a big change between the common company router and this router. I’ve been able to run warzone without any packet loss! Expensive but worth it. Download speeds also increased by a TON
EricH –
This router has bumped up my speed +200-350 levels from the current wifi signal I was receiving in my house hold. It’s been terrific with my gaming and internet connection. I would recommend the nighthawk to any and everybody. These are next level routers for a reason. I can even run my gaming pc off wifi without any latency or lag issues.
ThatITGuy –
Amazing speed and coverage plus easy setup all three are a plus. I fully recommend this router.
RaceRedRacerq –
Great router, Easy setup and additional of all devices. Would purchase again.
Jim421 –
Great item, has expanded coverage throughout the house. A little difficult to integrate with the older original modem. Did better with modem upgrade.
KevinP –
Great for gaming. Even on the 5ghz network it is crazy fast if you have gigabit speeds. I was hitting 800-900 mbps on average.
LuisV –
Gives you faster speeds with little to no disconnects
ReNeau –
This thing works great! Works for quite a way outside of my house as we.
Popinblinkey –
Solid value for a great router. Speeds drop as more devices hop on, but not as intense as the default cable router.
Justaguy1 –
The range and speed are pretty good setup was pretty quick and easy not to bad for a upgrade from a r8000 router

Do not use the Netgear Setup Wizard to do the setup automatically. Manually set up each device. Also, turn off Netgear Armour if you already have Bitdefender as your security system. I had to unblock devices in router settings. Once through the setup process, the router worked intermittently (not connected to the internet) until I disabled SmartConnect in WiFi settings. I then enabled each band (2.4, 5 & 6GHz) individually. That stopped the loss of internet connection. The router works great now but Wow, what a “nose bleed”!
FrustratedInVA –
Great value on sale! The router covers an entire 2000 square foot house from the basement
MichaelB –
This is a top of the line router. It has enough capacity to hook up all your devices without losing speed
Nest –
Works great and has enough range to cover the entire house without a need for an extender
muziqkyd –
Great product for my 8 member gaming family! We broke our original and decided to upgrade. This one is better than our last.
user623307 –
seems to work well, signal seems well throughout house but thought it would be more with new tech.
MauriceS –
If you live in a old home – or need strong WiFi signal – this is a def go to item. Almost getting 1gb Download and 300 Upload – say goodbye to running that super long wire when you can do the same on WiFi 6 – granted you have the internet speeds and hardware to capture the full power of this device.
Ardu –
Great range and fast. Easy to set up. Would recommend to friends and family.
Indyexp –
Better than our previous Netgear router. Better WIFI throughout the house

Had an AC4000 for years, and had to upgrade due to the old router going out. Setup for this new router only took about five minutes, with ten minutes to have it up and running with all devices connected right out of the box. The AXE7800 works really well with the online portal, and has seamless updates made on the user end. I’m usually opposed to using phone apps to control parts of my home, but the Netgear app in conjunction with this the AXE7800 model works great. The UI is highly intuitive and very easy to use. Overall very happy with this router.
InTheMitten –
Super fast with 5G. Broadcasts a strong signal through a wall that blocked our old router’s signal. Wish it was less expensive but what’re you going to do?
RobertF –
This router is amazing definite upgrade over my old router. Actually allows me to reach the 1 gig internet that I pay for i probably have 20 to 25 devices on the internet at all times but everything runs flawless.
GeorgeM –
I anticipated great performance, but ended up with returning the unit.
There is no doubt this router is fast. Setup was quick and easy.
The reason for the return. (1) On certain web pages, such as for banking and other financial web sites, pages would load extremely slow if at all. (2) Per Netgear, disabled security protection, Armor, and reboot. Although it improved, I still had pages that would load very slow.
Considering the price for the unit, my expectations were I would have a premium device performing better overall than my current router and I would not have to disable features to get the router to work as expected.
JohnJ –
The unit was very easy to install and it is a welcome addition to my home internet system. The other router lasted for many years and after researching and using this unit, I’m confident that my system will not miss a beat
LB01 –
Easy setup, works great so far. Replace older Nighthawk.
Mike –
Very nice router. Speed is very good.Easy setup and good protection built in.
SassCross –
This router was our fix as we have 1 GB speed but were only reaching 300 mbps. We bought this, and our speed easily hit over 900 mbps. Wonderful purchase!
BenD –
Absolutely a great choice for a top tier router if you have multiple devices in the house. I have 40+ and it handles it all like a dream!
StephonM –
I have multiple device within my 1800sqft of Area which 50+ devices communicate very well no zero lagging with my 1gig speed network, i paired it with a CM1200 Netgear Nighthawk modem. Honestly, i haven’t had any issues.
Jeremy –
This was running absolutely fine using an XFinity modem in bridge mode. I moved to a different ISP, and had to relocate the router to a new location. The router now restarts about two or three times an hour.
Some googling shows that this is pretty common, as the unit is sensitive to any power supply fluctuations. Suggestions include disabling QOS/WMM on the 2.4GhZ channel, but it’s made no difference. Support suggested plugging it straight into a wall rather than an extension or using a UPS – great idea, I’ll just rewire my house or purchase something else to get a router to work…
The last grip I have is that the Nighthawk App on Android is absolute garbage, but at least once you’re up and running, you can use the web interface.
I’ll give it 2*. It worked pretty well initially, but is clearly pretty sensitive to setup and I’d return it if I wasn’t outside my return window.
Nomad –
Great product at a good price point. Enjoying a stronger signal throughout the house.
MarthaS –
It’s good to have a working modem and eliminate a monthly fee from the phone/internet company.
MichaelS –
Amazing product. Works like a dream. The internet is so fast I love it.
SabrinaH –
thus has been working great with my new setup and Sonic fiber optic service
Snypar –
Really like Netgear Routers. Good Security and easy setup.
VernonA –
Promised more than it is doing. Repeatedly drops internet connection multiple times a day on all devices. I have 30 devices tied to WiFi. Purchased a different brand yesterday to replace this one, and will return this.
AustinC –
Purchased this to replace my Starlink router and it runs extremely well. Have zero issues so far.
James –
Got this to be a single router for a whole home instead of worrying about multiple routers or repeaters and it does amazing at even the very edge of the ends of the house. Anything that is too far away to be wired would easily be able to communicate with this router. A little expensive but it seems to be worth it as long as it lasts a few years.
Shivneel –
Kept having doubleNat issues that no one could figure out, that includes netgear support my locak ISP and or Microsoft (xbox). The speeds was worth it but ended up returning the product per netgear support possible defect in device. upgrading to the next version of this AXE11000
LandyV –
Great Wireless router provide great range for access and super easy to set up
PhillipH –
I’ve always really enjoyed the nighthawk line. This one is super impressive. We have a very large family of 6 kids and 3 adults in the house. It covers the entirety of the house which is roughly 65-70 feet long. So far I have not found any dead zones or weak spots. The nighthawks also come with parental control options, so I can assign devices to people and turn them on and off without turning off the entire WiFi to the house.
JustinC –
I am not computer savvy at all, and this was very easy to set up, and did as advertised! Maximized my wifi range, and quality, and has apps to control, monitor, and regulate the wifi usage and access. Very good product.
MattI –
Had a smaller router and wanted to upgrade. Started with a Mesh system and really struggled. Returned that and went back to Netgear and a larger router. Once I was able to get everything disconnected from old router and reconnected to new router, it has worked great. Needed to reset a few times to get everything to connect.
JayK –
So not be fooled this unit does not cover 2500 square feet multi level as it depicts. 2.4 goes upstairs in my home a distance of 50 feet with only 2 wifi bars. 5.0 and 6.0 do not go to the same spot.
JohnG –
The router is very fast. No buffering issues with graphics intense games, applications. It was also the easiest setup I have ever had with a new router.
TomersonS –
Had a older verson it finally went out. Its 4 times as effective. Little pricey but worth it.

Super fast easy to set up you’ll love it big fan of Netgear products
