Amazing sound (atmos will make you duck when a plane flies overhead) and no shortage of volume or bass. I’ve had this amazing Nakamichi soundbar for a few months now, and for the money I spent, nothing I’ve had comes close! Sound cones at you from every direction, clear and loud, filling up the room wonderfully, particularly when a Dolby Atmos signal is playing. The subwoofer is just insane, but the large remote gives you the ability to control it, and whatever else, wuickly and easily. I went from a typical receiver and multi speaker combo to using just the Nakamichi for everything and I’ve not looked back! Buy it. You won’t be disappointed!

This is by far the best sound bar I have purchased. The sound quality is above my expectation. It has plenty of features, including clear voice, tons of bass, a subwoofer that never goes out or pops like my Vizio did. I am truly enjoying the Dolby Atmos also that is on this. Another plus that I will point out is the very easy to use remote. I was able to figure it out within minutes. The help center online is also a plus it helps guide people that need help on figuring out certain functions on the remote or sound bar. Again this is really a Great soundbar that goes very well with my TV. Word of advice, never by his sound bar that is the same as the TV brand. Always buy something that is from a company that deals with sound bars or sound systems specifically. Nakamichi is by far my favorite brand, and I look forward to Buy more items from them in the future.

I am absolutely in love with my new sound system! It has completely transformed my listening experience, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I initially did have an issue with the left speaker “crackling,” but I contacted Nakamichi customer support, and they quickly sent a replacement speaker, which resolved the issue.
The system is also incredibly easy to use and set up, which is a huge plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this sound system to anyone looking to upgrade their listening experience. It’s definitely worth the investment and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase!

Great sound and powerful bass. Set up was easy and intuitive. The reason for not giving it a 5 Stars is because of the delay in sounds; and particularly with Youtube…there is like a 15-20 seconds delay when Youtube goes to commercial and then back to the clip…every single time. Other than the delays, the sound is impressive.

I purchased this to upgrade my previous system I had. It was an older model of their system without earc. With my previous system I found customer service very helpful and responsive. This new system amazes me at what sound quality it can put out. It comes pretty close to my denon receiver setup. Don’t go for the more expensive system from other more well known brands. This one produces better sound and will have much better customer service.

This soundbar system is for real! Booming, room shaking bass from a single subwoofer. The surround speakers create spacious, immersive sound with Atmos. Technology sure has come a long way in the last 25 years, from when I built my first 5.1 system out of separate components. Now you can get 7.1.4 in a convenient box!

This surround sound setup truly feels like you’re bringing a movie theater into your home. eArc is a wonderful feature allowing tons of connectivity, and the sound quality is incredible. This also opens up many more high quality streams with no transcoding on our emby server, since much of the dolby vision content is 7.1 surround.

Awesome sound quality for minimal effort. This Nakamichi soundbar kít with the wireless subwoofer and rear surround speakers sounds fantastic. Whereas I was getting “tinny” sound from my tv’s speakers before, I’m now getting surround sound with booming bass and clear voice when watching movies. This system has really made my movie watching experience so much more enjoyable than before… and all at a fraction of competitor brands and so much less effort than running a traditional wired surround AV system.

The Nakamichi is an awesome surround sound soundbar system. This will be my second Nakamichi Soundbar. I previously had the older model with the smaller sub and it was and still is great. I upgraded solely for the eARC functionality but was surprised the new model had a bigger sub. The bass kicks! It’s a down firing sub and you can really feel it underneath your feet and shaking the walls. Sound clarity is also amazing. Before my first Nakamichi I had an LG Soundbar and the Nakamichi blows it away. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend the Nakamichi to anyone looking for something that doesn’t take up a lot of space yet packs a punch!

Easy to set up, plenty of options to create great sound. Comes with connection cables for any setup you want. Remote was a little confusing at the beginning but the user manual helps sort it out. Good surround speakers and the base can rattle your windows. Nakamichi’s customer service is very helpful and prompt. This is a real nice system and we are happy with it.

I’ve owned Yamaha, Denon, Bose, Bang and Olafson and none compares to the quality of surround sound, true highs and midrange, and astounding bass response as does this system. It’s a bargain at even more cost. Not only is the system outstanding for video streaming, but the quality or reproduction of music is absolutely astounding! If you have a large open space, however, I’d suggest getting the elite system with soundbar, 4 satellite speakers and the two woofers.

Excellent home theater system with Dolby Atmos. Set up is very easy and it works very well with my TV eARC and Apple TV and PS5. It’s plenty loud at low volume setting for me with very punchy bass from the sub. Was considering Samsung and Vizio system but I’m glad I went with the Nakamichi.

The Shockwafe 7.1.4 offers everything I could ask for in a soundbar: 7.1.4 channels for immersive surround sound, Dolby Atmos support, an eARC connection for high-quality audio passthrough, 850 watts of power, and a sleek design. The 10″ subwoofer is particularly impressive, delivering room-shaking bass.
My previous soundbar sounded tinny and disjointed, but the Shockwafe 7.1.4 completely blows it away with its superb audio fidelity. I can hear sounds in my favorite movies and shows that I’ve never noticed before.
I’m especially excited about the Dolby Atmos support. Watching content that supports Dolby Atmos with this soundbar is a truly immersive experience.
Setup was a breeze, thanks to the eARC connection. I have the soundbar hooked up to an 85″ Sony X90CK TV, and everything works perfectly. I love that I can control both the TV and soundbar with just one remote.
The supplied remote is easy to use and well-designed. It has dedicated buttons for different listening modes, which is convenient.
On a side note, the instructional manual is excellent. It’s a large, folding brochure that clearly explains setup, using the remote, connecting peripherals, etc.
I love this soundbar so much that I’m already planning to upgrade to the Nakamichi Shockwafe Ultra 9.2.4 channel setup for my next home. But for now, I’m thoroughly enjoying the Shockwafe 7.1.4.

We also have purchased one for our living room last year. If you want superb quality sound then purchase a Nakimichi sound system. The sound is amazing!

Excellent sound system. Did a lot of research on a ton of surround sound sytems from big brands and I personally think the Nakamichi emerges as a winner. It has been wonderful to watch movies and tv shows. I had to mess with the settings and setup a bit before I could get the best sound out of it. Nothing too hard to do. They have a very detailed guide for the setup and an additional qr code with a link to what every single button on the remote does (too many buttons on the remote for fine tuning but can be very confusing without the guide). Overall very happy with my purchase.

I spent several days reading reviews. I didn’t understand the difference between the two systems until I visited the Nakachimi website. They have an amazing comparison icon. It puts they old side by aide with the new and it spoke volumes to me. I happened to come across a review of an owner of the 1st 2019 system and now owned the 2022 eARC model. That review sealed the deal with my choice to buy the newer model (which I would have anyway)! Maybe I just needed a nudge. I initially bought the 9.2.4 for my main family room. I was blown away by the realistic feel of every single scene in the latest top notch movies and shows. I bought the 7.1.2 for my mancave as a Christmas present to me from my girls. The 360 SSE surround sound in games is absolutely mind blowing. I have the Xbox X downstairs and the PS5 in the cave. This simple, plug and play set up, is bar none, the beat system on the market. Nothing even comes close under $4k, NOTHING! Its your receiver, amp, speakers all in one crisp package. Wr can now hear vocals while explosionsa and bullets bounce and the room. It’s completely customizable to a point and its good enough for anyone looking for a movie theater experience in their homea without spending a small fortune. The one and only thing I wish was different, is if the subs had their own volume switch. The ability to turn down the subs without loosing your surround sound would be an exceptional addition to the next version. There are a few movies where the bass totally overwhelms they entire experience but not very often. Usually with oldet movies that dont have the tech of today. Or if that particular show uses bass as an overall tone throughout its entirety. I have spent time going back over some of my favorites and I’ve never felt more in the action or sucked into everything I watch as I do today. Thank You Nakamichi for bringing pure Joy into our household this Christmas. You have a customer for life.

The surround sound is fantastic, with this insane large subwoofer that shakes the whole room, so neighbors beware. It isn’t perfect as there was some wifi interference I had to deal with, which is easily solved by switching channels. Setup is about as easy as it gets, no fuss or issues. For the price, it’s a must get, super happy with the purchase.

I was so excited to take home the soundbar. Hooked it up. I choose this to replace the defective Samsung Q990B from Best Buy. After hooking everything and started playing music and movie, i was not impressed. Sound is dull. Sub is weak, bad separation on surrounds. My Hisense M series sounds a lot better than this.
