    If you plan to streaming video, look elsewhere. This unit plays DVD fine but unbearably S-L-O-W when streaming video. Remote key is un-responsive. Sometimes take minute to act. Get a ROKU streamer if you plan to surf the net.

    Do not buy this model! It would not load Blu Ray or Netflix (which is why we bought it). I would give it 1/2 star if I could.

    Its works well in any room for streaming and Wi-Fi.

    My old blu-ray finally got old and worn out, so looking into newer models, and comparing features I liked how easy this was to setup and use. I paid a little extra for the wireless wifi, just for the extra placement ability it gave me, instead of having to be within either net cable reach.
    The extra apps are nice too see but I don’t use them. I do like having dvd and blu-ray in one system now.

    Bought as a open box, excellent condition blu ray. Didn’t work. I would plug it in, then it would just stop working.

    The LG Blue Ray Player is a great unit, very easy to hook up and operate ! I replaced my other unit which was LG, but not Blue Ray. It still operates great !

    I don’t like it. The built-in wifi is terrible,I’ve seen much much better. Life ain’t good with this Blu Ray player.

    The LG – Streaming Audio Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray player is just what we needed. Plays our old dvds, plays dvds from library etc. the picture quality is good. We were up and running as soon as we connected to tv and plugged it in. Remote is easy to use. We didn’t connect the player to wi-fi, didn’t need that function. Best of all a great price for a great unit.

    So farnthe blue ray player works great. I use it everyday to watch my old shows. Remote is easy to use. No difficulty. I would definitely recommend.

    I ended up returning this. It could hook up to the internet and event connect with Netflix-but that was it. It couldn’t play anything, or even keep up enough to show you what was available! The user interfaces look like they were programmed by a teenager in 2002, and probably were as apparently the unit uses freeware/openware. Quite the disappointment.

    Remote does not work at times. Will not select any of the buttons pushed. Fails to open door when button pushed. If door does open then it will not let you close door. Plays DVD fine but will not let you remotely stop or pause video.
    WIFI has issues with connecting to premium features. It “freezes up” when playing video from Amazon fire stick,. When it does connect to Amazon video it plays audio only, not video. Then it will not let me stop video and I can’t even reset anything without disconnecting power cord on rear of unit. It is disappointing that it has a WIFI feature that doesn’t work. The WIFI as well as the remote device are basically useless. I have had this unit approximately 12 hours.

    I purchased for audio primarily ! now I have to purchase more equipment !!!

    Plays Blu-ray discs and DVDs great, as long as you are okay with a seeing a connection error pop up every few minutes. With that kind of bug I simply can’t recommend this player.

    My old player decided to die on me and I needed a new one. I didn’t want the same brand so decided to use LG since my TV is LG. I was really happy this isn’t a “smart” player. Its just a dumb Bluray player. I can also control it via my phone with a simple remote application. The one thing that is a little strange is it seems to turn on every now and then at random times. I think perhaps something in my living room is generating a IR signal that happens to be the same as the power on one the player uses.

    If simplicity is what you after, this is the dvd player for you. And it the option of using an hdmi cable resulting in a better quality of picture and sound.

    Wi-Fi streaming options are limited to a few services. It does not have the same number of apps as available on an LG TV. Definitely not worth it in replace of a Roku or similar device.

    It plays DVD’s and Blu-rays just fine. The streaming apps seem to have some issues. When navigating through the menus to stream anything, the whole system bogs down to the point of complete uselessness. Once it started taking several seconds for each button push to register, I gave up. Haven’t tried the USB interface as of yet.
    Occasionally the whole system freezes, and I’ve had to pull the power cable out and reset it. to get it to do anything.

    should have read the reviews, should have returned it now stuck with it. Streaming prime not possible, plays for a minute then knocks out back to home screen. utube plays better, but stutters and stops constantly. my older sony did not do this with same wifi router. remote not user friendly, buttons tiny and main ones teeny. back function pops you all the way back to home screen instead of back one screen! Why???? Who designed this? Fire them
