I’ve had many GE Profile appliances and ordered this one to replace built in, 20 yr old GE Microwave. Had to modify my cabinet some, then to have door latch not work 50% time – Very Frustrating. Worked to take back out of cabt & trim, took back to BestBuy, where they happily ordered a replacement for me. (Usual Great Cust Service!) In spite of door latch, micro works well, good power and good features. I hope the next microwave has better door latch and up to good quality GE stds.

Purchased the unit to replace older unit in cabinet because it was white and matched current appliances. Arrived in a reasonable delivery time . Installed it in the cabinet although no instructions to set up or use the product. First time i pushed a number it started working and the sounds that came out of it can only be described as someone shaking a tin can full of nuts and bolts. Noise stopped in a few seconds and then as soon as I stopped the cooking the noise started again for several seconds. opened the door and the unit was filled with smoke. Tried it several times with And without the dish inside and same result. removed the unit and returned it to store. Unfortunately white is a difficult color to purchase so i had them order me a second attempt. Meanwhile the trim kit arrived . Huge box with nothing but a plastic trim surround. No additional parts as described in the installation instructions i found on line. Most expensive piece of plastic i have purchased.

The timer button is a bad design. You have to hit the circular button three times in a row to start the timer: once to start the input, once after you turn and select the minutes, and again to select seconds. I usually want a round number like 5 or 8 minutes. I miss the quick select buttons for 1-6 minute cook times on my older GE model.
We opted for the convection/microwave oven combo and we’ve used it a few times. Heat loss is a problem when opening the door after convection pre-heating. It makes sense because you open the front of the oven and most of the heat will obviously come out. Because of that I have to add cook time to my recipes. I had hoped this would be a nice alternative to heating the entire range oven. It’s OK but not great.
What I really don’t like about the convection oven is how easy it is to put the metal shelf for convection baking in incorrectly. I nearly lost a pie when a corner slipped out and the rack dropped. Be careful to check every corner when you set that baking rack in.
What I love: the removable circular, rubber-footed microwave rack that lets you cook two dishes at once. I have used that a lot and the microwave strength is excellent

Bought this GE Profile microwave to replace an earlier Profile with a failed control panel. This model is so very much quieter than our old Profile and the touch pad control panel is greatly improved. While this new unit has a volume control this is limited to either “normal” or “mute”-perfect for us but others may prefer a graduated volume control. This unit was very quick and simple to install using the matching trim kit. Giving the microwave 4 stars only because our existing trim kit would not work with this unit despite the two microwaves being of the same dimensions. I certainly recommend this microwave and would purchase again!

This “Open Box” item said that there was nothing missing. It has been sitting waiting for help to put it in place. Opened it today and there is no User Manual. Disappointing to believe an item is complete and then finding out it’s not after the return window is closed.

I love this microwave. It was hard to find white. The finish is sharp! It is easy to use, looks sharp and the trim kit that comes with it makes it look sharp!

Within 5 days of installation, the microwave controls have locked up twice, each time badly enough that the microwave had to be unplugged. Since the microwave is built-in and the power cord is inaccessible, that means toggling a circuit breaker of the outdoor breaker panel. Symptom isn’t covered in troubleshooting manual.

This is a replacement microwave for one purchased in 2016 that started malfunctioning in 2020. I was not advised to get a new trim kit, as the slide in rails had changed. The second trim kit recommended was not for a GE microwave, but I was assured it would work. Wrong! Finally, 3rd trim kit. YEAH! It was perfect. But we had not fully unpacked the microwave (our mistake) until we saw the rails fit on the bottom correctly and the corner where the power cord is attached is totally crushed. The microwave works so it was installed anyway. Hopefully, it will last more than the previous 4 years. We love the microwave!

Only one item can be installed on time. One item is sitting at my home and cannot be installed due to missing accessory, ordered together with the purchase.
One item never arrived.
It has been months, since I placed order.
Also, for second appointment for installation in November. Best Buy made a appointment/installation time without consultation with me.
The sales person who collected the order is non-responsive.

Installation with the matching trim kit was much easier than the GE microwave I purchased about 8 years ago. For the newer you install a little galvanized sheet metal shelf and attach to bottom rails to the microwave. The microwave then just slides in on the shelf and locks into place with a few screws.

Expensive but very good size for a built in microwave, I am waiting for the trim kit to arrive. The only issue for now is that the product manual is a two page quick setup, as delivered on the package. You need to go online at GE web-site to obtain the 22 page manual guide in PDF format. So far so good.

Good replacement for white GE microwave from 2002 especially since the color white is hard to find any more. Not many changes to the fundamentals compared to the oven back then but reliability of the button needed to open the oven is questionable.
