Worst refrigerator – have only owned it several years & it has been repaired 4 times – now it thaws off & on completely for no reason & the ice maker leaks water that refreezes down the inside of the freezer – the ice dispenser on the door suddenly stopped working – cannot wait to purchase a new fridge – never a GE again!!!

Cons: There are not as many side guides for the shelves as I would want (to adjust the shelf heights). We had saved a shelf from our old GE Profile, so we have an extra shelf to hold short items, such as yogurts & berry boxes.
Pros: The white is pretty. This model fits the space, like our old GE Profile (discontinued line). The bins are easy to open.

We needed to replace a panel-ready GE side-by-side that is no longer produced. No one makes free-standing panel-ready side-by-sides anymore. Panel-ready built-in refrigerator were more expensive and would require rebuilding a section of our kitchen.
The sales-Team in the Saginaw store sent time to find us the specific details about each refrigerator because of our unique requirements. They set up an appointments with the Pacific Sales Appliances Department of Best Buy. The Pacific agent made an on-site visit and gave helpful suggestions and more options. We were able to find a refrigerator to accept our panels. We saved at least $7,500 and kept the appearance of our kitchen
The refrigerator was delivered on time when promised. Great delivery/installation team that was respectful and courteous.

Like the ice and water in the door. Quite a bit smaller than my old fridge. It will take a little getting accustomed to the smaller freezer. It is what it is and is working well so far!
Refrigerator –
We like the refrigerator very much. We were disappointed that it did not have a built in snack drawer that is in most refrigerators.
We were limited to size and color for a new frig. This was the only one that fit the requirements.

Product was bought because of size limitations as a replacement for an older GE side-by-side. Previous years’ models had more features and better layout inside. Changing to LED lights leaves the interior dim.
DONOTPURCHASE –
Very poor quality- all plastic and so lightweight that it moved freely/rolled each time I opened either door. No mechanism to balance- and very off balance- back much lower than front. Very costly for quality and engineering.
Disappointed –
I’ve had this refrigerator for several weeks. It’s very noisy! So much so that I would rethink getting it. There was also a light that didn’t work and I’ve been waiting weeks for a reply from the company. I’m very disappointed in this purchase.

Took 4 months to get it. Info on width of item different from ad than what was printed on box caused installation problems lots of issues also do not like the glass shelves in freezer. Prefer basket shelves

Good Side by side refrigerator. I would be even better if there was a third drawer in the refrigerator side and a couple of pull-out drawers in the freezer section. The ice maker is awesome.

Hard to find a white side by side counter depth refrigerator, so I was happy to find this GE that matched my other appliances. It had to be ordered so it took more than a month to receive, but it came on the date promised. So far I’m happy with it. My only complaint is the rather large light over the top shelf. While the light is nice, it sticks down far enough to prevent putting taller objects in the middle of the shelf. Not a big problem, but maybe could be improved.

I recently purchased a fridge from Best Buy and was incredibly disappointed with both the product and the service. My old fridge was 35 years old and we wanted to replace it before it died, so we ordered a new one. It took nearly 4 months to arrive, and during that time Best Buy kept giving us delivery dates and cancelling them at the last minute, causing a great deal of frustration.
When the fridge finally did arrive, the installation team left it un-leveled and the trim was not affixed to the unit. Best Buy refused to contact the delivery team to fix the issue, so we had to fix it ourselves, which was incredibly frustrating.
The fridge itself was supposed to be similar to our old one, but the interior dimensions were either misleading or outright incorrect. The old unit had 3 drawers taking up the same vertical space in the fridge, but somehow held twice times as much in them. The new fridge has only two drawers and the bottom drawer was only half as deep as the old one. The old fridge had cantilever shelving, while the new fridge has rails built into the walls of the unit which eliminates nearly 3 inches of horizontal space while also providing less flexibility in the shelve’s position.
We tried to find third-party solutions to add more flexibility to the fridge, such as under-shelf drawers, but none of them would fit properly due to the bulky design of the shelves — which also artificially reduces the vertical space on each shelf. The shelves and drawers feel flimsy and are difficult to remove. Even when we slid them out, they wouldn’t slide out far enough to be of any real use, and the gap left behind the shelf also makes it more likely to knock things off the back.
Petty as it might be, the LED light is also this sickly blue-green color which makes all the food look like it’s gone bad. The shelves on the doors of both the fridge and the freezer are also almost an inch and a half smaller in all directions than the old ones were.
Perhaps because we were forced to fix it ourselves, the doors won’t close themselves, and instead, they would close slowly up to a point and then bounce back open. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with this fridge, and we ultimately decided to send it back. By comparison, this brand new fridge was not as well-considered or designed as the one we purchased 35 years ago, and we do not recommend it.

This fridge is similar to my early 2000’s side by side model. But with a little less space, fewer drawers, and a less convenient configuration. The walls seem to be thicker- maybe there is an energy efficiency trade-off. Would recommend for people with limited space, like us.
