This is hands-down one of the best controllers I have ever used. It is so well-designed and ergonomic that it melts into your hands and you forget you are holding it. The rumble is very powerful. The joysticks are similar to the Xbox Series X/S controllers, although slightly less firm in my opinion, which I prefer. I have included a picture of an Xbox Series X/S controller for size-comparison purposes. The build quality is excellent. Also included is a nifty charging dock, which is well-designed and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

Finally! A good dpad has been eluding me since getting the Switch! I’m not sure why Nintendo dropped the ball so hard on what they perfected 40 years ago. The pro controller was nearly perfect, but that d-pad… I love playing Tetris 99 but until now I was forced to play in handheld or use the grip. Same with the retro games and any other games that need a good d-pad to play. Everything else is great too, the buttons all feel great, and the joysticks do as well.
The included stand is a nice touch, having a cubby hole for the dongle is a brilliant extra touch.
This is officially my favorite controller of all time. incredible value for the quality!

An amazing product, it works flawlessly with my switch playing Zelda: Tears of the kingdom. All of the buttons and sticks are very responsive and the fact that it comes with a charging base right out of the box makes it a perfect choice, not to mention excellent battery life. I’m very happy with my purchase. To pair it on the switch, go into controllers and not settings.

This controller feels much better than other controllers at this price point. My hands dont cramp up on longer gaming sessions. Overall better than the other Pro Controllers.

It kinda makes you scratch your head because this controller feels much more premium than what they’re charging for. I love the textured feel it has but it doesn’t “feel” textured. It grips really well. Couple things to get used to is that it isn’t as wide as other controllers so it feels a little weird at first. If you’ve got really big hands you may come across a little bit more fatigue than say an xbox or actual nintendo controller. However, you get used to it super quick and it feels amazing. Triggers are wonderful. It is super nice in every respect and plus… you get a charging dock and it is super convenient to use. You’ll regret not buying it.

There sre 2 models of this controller, bluetooth and non-bluetooth. The non-bluetooth is a servicable but not good controller. It has standard joysticks and only works by 2.4Ghz. The bluetooth one has better construction, hall effect joysticks, and uses 2.4Ghz or bluetooth for not much more money. Get that one.

Bought it since my Nintendo pro controller stopped working and surprisingly not from drift. Now i don’t have to worry about drift. The joysticks are mediocre feeling but i have the security of no drift. The back paddles are nice and so is the dock! That alone makes it more worth the Nintendo brand. I don’t like having to plug and unplug so many devices. The only problem i had was the gyro seems to have like a small dead zone? Feels like a fraction of a second delay every time I try shooting arrows in Zelda. But who knows maybe it’s just mine. Actually wait 2 problems. Sometimes i want to take a screenshot in like Metroid prime remastered and it triggers the turbo. You can never fully disable turbo from the button but you can remap screenshot to another button which is fine but annoying. Turbo is nice when I’m out mining in totk depths for item pick up haha

This is by far my favorite switch controller. The joy sticks are fantastic and better than my pro controller. I do miss the NFC for amiibo but everything else is so much better that i dont mind needing to switch controllers for a bit to scan amiibo. I love the switch to change between bluetooth and 2.4 ghz, I use it to jump between my switches without needing to pair it each time.

I’ve used this controller for both my Switch and on my PC. I personally really like the two back paddles on the back of the controller and the ability to customize the buttons. You will need to download their software on your computer to remap it though. The buttons and joysticks are very responsive and feel nice… idk how else to describe them haha
One negative thing is that if you want to connect it to the PC, you’ll need a free USB port on your computer since the connection is through the 2.4G adapter.

The 8bitdo Ultimate Controller is a very high quality controller. It has many functions not available on a Switch Pro Controller such as turbo, back buttons, analog triggers, and hall effect joysticks. There is software you can use to remap controls but the turbo function can be activated on any button without the use of it. It can wake up your switch by shaking the controller. It also comes with its own charging dock with a usb dongle for use on pc. It has great battery life and looks amazing with a white pc setup/switch dock. It feels great to hold and will not slip in your hands. I can’t recommend it enough.

Overall, this controller is great and the convenience of being able to easily switch between a PC and a BT device (switch for me) is great. However, I wish you could pop the buttons off and switch them between the nintendo layout and the PC/xbox layout cause it’s a bit disorienting to have to do that flip mentally all the time. That’s hard to do though I understand, and short of that it couldn’t be much better.
